Tonight I asked Sascha to quickly grab my wallet so I could put a hold on a movie before anyone else did since it was the only copy available in this area and I've been dying to see it. After he handed it to me I quickly opened it up to find my debit card. Meanwhile Apollo magically appeared out of knowhere, glued himself to my side and asked, "Mommy, can I have a thousand dollars?" I don't know where he gets this stuff. It's not like we're talking all the time about the thousands of dollars that we don't have. Tax refund season IS coming up so maybe he overheard us talking about that. hmmmm....

Recently I returned from my amazing cruise from San Diego to Ensanada, Mexico. Since I returned at midnight I didn't get a chance to say goodnight to the kids. So the following morning I was greeted by Apollo who had hopped in my bed and was cuddling with me.
Here's our first conversation:
"Mom, did you go to Sandy Diego?"
me, "yes"
"Mom, did you go to Mexico?"
me, "yes"
"Mom, did you go on a space ship?"
me LAUGHING!!!!!!

Are You Not Being Debbie?

Yesterday after I hopped out of the shower, and still with a towel on my head, Apollo approached me and asked, "are you not being Debbie?"
Debbie is my wonderful sis. And the funny thing about this is that he only started saying this within the last few weeks. The last time he was around Debbie was back in June while we were in Utah. You would think the little guy would have said it a lot sooner after just being there.

One of Apollo's favorite shows is called the Fresh Beat Band. It's basically a group of younger adults dancing, singing and playing their musical instruments all to some sort of story line. Quite entertaining.
Sometimes I find Apollo like this as he's watching his show:
And here's a video I sorta snuck of him on a different day, but in the same guitar playing mode:

At our Christmas Party this year, Gingy was our special guest. All the kids got their pictures taken with him, including Apollo. This first picture was showing Apollo's insecurities about this round-headed brown guy. He was NOT amused:
This next picture is when I was explaining to Apollo who was really inside the costume (Jayce):
Once he knew who was inside, he let loose and was all smiles:
Drinking Bubbly

For Thanksgiving Apollo was allowed to have some sparkling white grape juice. Okay, it was non-alcoholic, as would ours be. He is demonstrating to us the "correct" way to drink bubbly:
Notice the finger position...
Now he shows us the "incorrect" way to hold your goblet.

During FHE tonight we were chit chatting about fear and how Apollo has no fear. We each started asking Apollo questions.
Sascha: are you afraid of spiders?
Apollo: yeah
Mom: are you afraid of smarties?
Apollo: yeah
Sarah: are you afraid of Sascha?
Apollo: yeah
Sascha: are you afraid of the Fresh Beat Band?
Apollo: yeah
Daddy: Apollo, are spiders scary?
Apollo: I like bugs.
***Moral of the story: Apollo doesn't know the meaning of afraid, but he most certainly likes bugs!
